About the Department
As manager of the system and security operations team at Globus, you will manage the operations and delivery of infrastructure services, and ensure the security compliance requirements are met. The work your team does underpins the secure research data management platform and services we provide to scientists worldwide. Hosted on AWS, the platform includes a variety of services for identity and access management, data transfer and sharing, and task automation, delivered both as a software-as-a-service, and platform-as-a-service.
Bringing your experience in operations, you will lead the system operations team to deliver secure, scalable, high-available, and robust infrastructure for the Globus platform, and drive operational excellence and best practices across the product team. You and your team will partner with the engineering team to build out processes, automation, and tooling for efficient delivery of features, while migrating legacy infrastructure and manual workflows.
The Globus platform is used to manage data with a wide spectrum of security requirements: from open data to data with diverse access control constraints, including protected data regulated under HIPAA. With your experience building and operating environments that require compliance with regulatory or security standards, you will ensure that the security policy requirements are translated into executable designs and verifiable solutions.
As a senior member of the product team, reporting to the Head of Products, you will bring system operations and security perspectives and engage with cross functional teams in design and architecture of products.
If you enjoy collaborative, innovative, mission-driven environments, Globus could be a great fit for you!
